You arrive as the desert cools and the sky hardens into color: wind pushes salt-streaked dust across sharp ridgelines and the Cordillera de la Sal throws long, lunar shadows. The guided Moon Valley tour walks you across sand-cliff amphitheaters, through soda-crusted caves and up a central dune for a sunset that carves the landscape into precise, otherworldly relief.

The tour is typically 4–5 hours with pickup mid-afternoon (about 15:00 in summer, 14:30 in winter) to reach the valley for sunset.
Infants are allowed but must sit on an adult’s lap; older children should be supervised on dunes and uneven terrain.
