The captain will position the vessel for good views while following wildlife-distance guidelines; some birds will approach on their own around quiet sails, but approach varies by species and conditions.
Infants are allowed but must sit on an adult’s lap; children should be able to follow safety instructions and tolerate boat motion for several hours.
Common sightings include common murre, brown pelican, cormorants, gulls, shearwaters and sometimes alcids or gull-affiliated species depending on season and forage availability.
