This coastal hike begins in Paguera and winds through pine forests with stunning views of the Mallorcan coastline and the Serra de Tramuntana. The trail leads to the historic Torre de Cap Andritxol and continues to a cliffside viewpoint at Cap Andritxol. From there, it descends to the secluded Caló des Monjo beach, offering a peaceful swim in crystal-clear waters. The return path loops through serene pine groves, completing a journey rich in nature, history, and coastal beauty.
The Hike Station Grading System: Beginner - Medium
Food & Beverages: Carrying ample drinking water is essential. There are no stores or other facilities along our trails. Fruit and energy bars are ideal for mid-way sustenance.
What to Bring: The Hike Station will provide for each person a small backpack. You should bring at least 1.5L of water per person, and snacks if you would like. Please bring your own: sun hat, sun cream, and swimwear for coastal hikes. Also ensure you bring any necessary medication or inhalers that you might require during the hike.
What to Wear: Suitable footwear, including socks (sports trainers are fine). Anyone wearing unsuitable footwear (such as flip-flops), or no socks, will not be able to hike. Ideally you should wear comfortable, quick-drying sportswear. A jacket or hoodie are recommended for sunset hikes, windy days, or rare cold days! We think black is best!
There are no facilities on the trail; pack at least 1.5 liters per person to stay hydrated.
Sports trainers with socks are recommended; flip-flops or sandals are not suitable on this rocky terrain.
Bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses to guard against strong Mediterranean sun exposure.
The trail ends at Caló des Monjo beach where a swim in clear waters is a perfect way to relax mid-hike.
The Torre de Cap Andritxol dates back to the 17th century, built as a lookout to protect Mallorca from pirate attacks.
Efforts are in place to keep the trail natural and undisturbed, encouraging visitors to follow Leave No Trace principles.
