Discover the excitement of finding sand dollars and spotting wild horses on this unforgettable adventure! We'll explore two stunning islands, where you can collect sand dollars, admire wild horses in their habitat, and enjoy shelling on the beautiful Shackleford Banks. Each group will receive an official reusable H2O Captain shelling bag as a keepsake.
Please note that Sand Dollar Island is only accessible at low tide; it disappears beneath the water during high tide! To ensure the best experience, call ahead at 202-369-1063 to check the tide schedule for your desired date(s). When tides are unfavorable, we will visit Carrot Island, with its boardwalk and scenic vista (and the possibility of finding more wild horses) in the Rachel Carson Reserve as an alternative.
Prepare for a journey filled with treasures and the awe-inspiring beauty of wild horses—all in one incredible excursion. Don't miss out. Bet on it!
