You ease out of the city lights and the highway drops away; ahead, the Mojave stretches in low, sun-bleached ridges and broad washes that dare you to cross them. A guide checks your helmet, the engine rumbles like a restrained animal, and the first sandy berm launches under the tires—instant, honest desert.

4 hours.
Basic to moderate fitness—drivers should be comfortable balancing, shifting weight, and handling bumpy terrain for 90 minutes.
The ride portion is about 1.5 hours; the full experience including pickup, orientation and return is roughly 4 hours.
Drivers must be 18 or older; riders under 18 can’t operate their own ATV and special arrangements are required for tandem-style vehicles.
Closed-toe sturdy shoes, sun-protective clothing, and layers for morning/evening; the operator provides helmet, goggles and gloves.
Minimum driving age is 18; not recommended for guests with spinal, heart issues, or those under influence of drugs/alcohol.
The ridgelines and washes bear evidence of indigenous travel routes and later 20th-century development tied to Hoover Dam and region-wide water projects.
Stick to designated trails to avoid destroying cryptobiotic soil crusts and fragile desert plants; operators typically follow NRA rules to minimize footprint.
