Modena is known in the world for its delicious food and the fast cars, but if you look behind the curtain you discover that there is much more. Modena is UNESCO World Heritage for its Cathedral, but is even the city where can be met a lot of artisan and food producers fond to show you what they do. We start this tour from the main square, with an introduction about the history of the city and the most important monuments. After that we stroll around, entering in shops and bars (or at the market) to taste some of the traditional food produced in Modena. Food is always a good way to go deeper in traditions and history! After a couple of hours we visit a little leathery located in the center, where a group of artisans are still doing bags, wallets, belts and other things: everything their own design and hand made. One of them lead us to prepare a leather “tortellino”: a good way to understand the skills and techniques needed to prepare the leather and manage it. At the end the tortellino will become a nice gift to remember forever the city of Modena!
