Mobile Alpacas, Goats & Lambs for Events — Pure Passions Farm (Kent, OH)

Pure Passions Farm at 7679 Seasons Rd in Kent, Ohio offers an intimate, handler-led animal visit that turns a private event into a playful, photogenic moment. This mobile visit brings alpacas, baby mini goats, or lambs—each leashed and supervised—into your gathering for timed interactions that are safe for guests and animals alike. Whether you’re hosting a birthday, corporate picnic, or family reunion, these calm, curious animals create easy icebreakers and memorable photos. The scene is simple and direct: animals on handlers' leashes, a small grassy patch or driveway converted into a mini petting zone, and a sequence of timed blocks that keep visits orderly. Key features include soft-fleeced alpacas with expressive faces, tiny goat kids prone to gentle nuzzles, and woolly lambs who respond well to quiet voices and calm hands. The farm’s fields reflect northeastern Ohio pastureland—sandy-loam soils and cool-season grasses—so dress for short walks and standing on grass or gravel. Seasonal wildflowers and common Ohio songbirds add a rural soundtrack but the focus remains the animals' steady personalities. Pure Passions Farm stands out because it takes the unpredictability out of animal visits: every interaction is managed by handlers who maintain leashes and pace, making the experience accessible to groups that might otherwise avoid live animals. Add-on options let you combine two species or extend time in 30-minute increments for more photos. The business travels beyond a default radius for a per-mile surcharge and requires a 50% deposit to secure bookings—details that event planners will appreciate for budgeting. Bookings start with a 50% deposit; additional time is $75 per 30 minutes, and travel charges are calculated one way after 20 miles using fastest-route mileage. Handlers brief guests on gentle approaches and limit handling during warm or wet weather to protect animal welfare. The visit works well for mixed-age crowds—handlers assess interactions and can accommodate nervous children or elderly guests by shortening contact windows. Plan a roughly 45–90 minute event window to include setup, multiple timed blocks, and a buffer for animal rest. For families and planners new to agritourism, this visit blends the safety of controlled encounters with the intimacy of up-close animal contact. It’s not a large petting zoo but a curated, mobile experience tailored to events, school visits, and small festivals. Tips: reserve early, designate a small shaded space for the animals, and instruct guests on gentle handling and photo etiquette. Pure Passions Farm is part of the Kent-area network of small-scale farms that support local agritourism and education; these visits help connect urban guests to animal care practices without the commitment of a full farm tour. Weather provisions and travel fees apply, so coordinate with the operator when booking to ensure the smoothest event.
