Moana Night at Casadonna: Waterfront Sail-by, Island Cocktails & Light Show in Miami

On a warm summer evening along Biscayne Bay, Casadonna in Miami offers a rare pop-up that turns the city's bayfront into a stage for Polynesian voyaging lore and cinematic celebration. The Moana Event at Casadonna takes place at Casadonna - Miami, FL: 1737 N Bayshore Dr, 1st Floor, Miami, FL 33132 and runs from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on June 25, 2026. This adult-only (21+) waterfront experience blends island-inspired bites, themed cocktails, live dance performances, and a sail-by of the voyaging canoe that brought the evening's energy right onto the water. Arrive early to watch the skyline shift light to copper while the bay cools, and the outdoor terrace and seawall give unobstructed views of the canoe's approach. The event is built around a handful of bold moments: the canoe sail-by, a tactile reminder of Polynesian navigational skill, staged choreography along the water, and a surprise light show that silhouettes palm fronds and high-rises. Food and drink lean into island flavors, pairing bright citrus and spice with chilled cocktails to keep the momentum moving across five curated hours. Casadonna's location on North Bayshore creates a distinctly urban-coastal backdrop: shallow bay waters, scattered mangrove patches visible across the channel, and the glassy Miami skyline framing performances. That juxtaposition, traditional voyaging elements against a modern cityscape, makes the evening feel both celebratory and rooted. The experience is produced on behalf of Disney Studios Marketing, so expect brand-aligned programming that emphasizes uplifting storytelling and shareable moments. This event is ideal for travelers who want an elevated waterfront night out rather than a long hike or boat charter. It's accessible, social, and designed for capturing photos and short videos: think dancers at golden hour, the canoe cutting a graceful arc, and the light show against the water. Capacity is limited and RSVPs are required; organizers close the RSVP list once full, and entry is restricted to invitees listed on the RSVP. Safety and courtesy matter, this is an alcohol-forward evening in a busy public waterfront area. Respect barriers, follow staff instructions during the canoe sail-by, and plan transportation in advance; nearby parking and ride-share options fill quickly during city events. Whether you're in town for a short stay or looking for a special evening in Miami, the Moana Event at Casadonna grafts a sense of oceanic ceremony onto a downtown shoreline, creating a five-hour window of music, motion, and light. Bring a lightweight jacket for breezy bay evenings, charge your phone, and consider reserving a nearby table or hotel room early; the event draws both locals and visitors, and after the light show the neighborhood stays lively with late-night dining and waterfront views that extend the Moana-themed evening into a Miami summer night.
