About

  • This is a great way for "never evers" or very young children, or timid riders to enjoy "bonding" with the horse.
  • You have the option to have our staff lead the horse on foot and perhaps a side walker for the very young, family members are invited to come along on foot.
  • This program is also suitable for the more seasoned rider who wants to join in with their family, or to get in the saddle again!

Safety

  • Best practices and safety is very important with horses.
  • Riders participate in a practice warm-up.
  • Our trail rides are guided on foot or from horseback.
  • If preferred, young or nervous riders of any age can be hand-led on their horse by our staff, both in the staging area and along the trail, to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Parents who are not riding are welcome to accompany their children on the trail on foot. Our programs are opened to children of all ages.

Adventure Tips

Wear sturdy, comfortable shoes

Good footwear like running shoes or hiking boots helps with stability on horseback and walking alongside the trails.

Arrive 15 minutes early

Give yourself time for the safety briefing and warm-up to ensure a smooth ride experience.

Bring a ball cap under your helmet

A cap helps keep your helmet comfortable and shields your eyes from the sun during the ride.

Young riders can be hand-led

If you’re nervous or have children with limited riding experience, opt for a hand-led ride for extra support.
