Thank you for choosing Summa Love! We hope your child has a wonderful experience with us. Our #1 priority is SAFETY. We have been in business for over 20 years due to our passion for coaching, safety precautions and well being of our students. Summa Love instructors will teach our students balance with stable body placement on a surfboard, paddling, standing, etiquette, open ocean safety, safe ways to fall and how to ride a wave. Each day students will progress at their own level with a low pressure, fun and safe surfing atmosphere. With proper instruction from our teachers, students will gain confidence, ocean safety experience and learn the fundamentals of surfing at a rapid pace! The Mini Camp is a great option if our main camp is too long or does not fit into your schedule. Students will break up into groups of 2-4 students per instructor after stretch then surf after beach instruction for the remainder of class until the session is over for the day. Actual surf time is about 60-70 minutes. Students will be grouped based on age, experience and confidence in the ocean. All abilities welcome.

Camp Rules for Mini Camp

Please check in with us at the shed on the beach everyday, always wear rash guard we will provide during surf hours, always listen to the instructor, please apply sunblock, stay hydrated, never leave to go to bathroom or lunch without supervision from staff or parent, always stay near tents with instructor supervision. When leaving, please wait with staff at boardwalk until pick up from parent/guardian. If a student has a hard top surfboard, a protective nose guard must always be on the board for safety. Parents/guardians please park in a legal parking spot if you plan on staying for the day.

Scheduling

Students can book Mini Camp single dates or multiple dates through-out the summer. Make ups are allowed during future camp days if room is available with at least 48 hours notice. We do not issue make ups for days missed that were reserved prior to camp starting without 48 hours notice. We follow our refund policy (posted on our website) as well with mini camps. All students should complete their enrolled camp days before the summer is over to avoid losing the days completely. No make up camp days can be carried over into the new year.

What to bring

Warm dry clothes, extra sun block, extra water, dry towel, sandals, bathing suit, rash guard, phone (not required). We supply extra rash guards, wetsuits, leashes and surfboards.
