Each year over 100,000 visitors come to Middleton Place National Historic Landmark to explore the culture and history of the Lowcountry. The history of Middleton Place spans three centuries including Arthur Middleton, the signer of the Declaration of Independence and the essential stories and contributions of over 3,000 enslaved men and women who lived and labored on properties owned by the Middletons. Visitors have the unique opportunity to experience America's Oldest Landscaped Gardens, a House Museum, the Stable Yards with heritage breeds, along with artifacts, tours and activities that authentically connect people with the past.

Chicora Tours proudly offers its guests tours of Charleston's most beautiful plantation: Middleton Place. The Middleton Place Tour is an all-inclusive experience with a detailed itinerary. Guests will be transported to Middleton Place from downtown Charleston at the Charleston Visitors Center .The tour includes a guided tour of the incredible gardens on the property as well as a self-guided tour of the Middleton Place House and the Beyond the Fields/Eliza's House (slavery exhibit) or a tour of the Stable Yards. This is preceded by a delicious and authentic Lowcountry Buffet lunch. Afterwards, guests will have the opportunity to visit the Garden Market and Museum Gift Shop. Finally, guests will be transported back to the Charleston Visitors Center.

Transportation is provided in our spacious and luxurious Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van. The Middleton Place tour is an authentic and incredible tour experience that will show you one of Charleston's most beautiful and historic landmarks with comfort, care and class. The tour departs from the Charleston Visitors Center at 375 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC 29403 daily.
