High Water - May/June • Low Water - July/August

The Wenatchee River is the most popular river rafting trip in the state of Washington for three very simple reasons: in the spring, when the river is high, the white water is awesome, in the summer when the river mellows, the weather is hot, and it can be traveled by inexperienced paddlers from 8 years on up. (12 years and up during High Water Season.)

The Wenatchee River is the quintessential river rafting trip. . . sometimes wild, but always 'forgiving', meaning every rapid ends in a pool of calmer water.

In late July, and August, the Wenatchee is at the tail-end of the Cascade snow pack that fuels its rapids and fast water. So, don’t expect a lot of white water. The best and biggest white water happens in May and early June.

In July, you can bring the younger kids down the river and enjoy the deep pools for swimming, the clean beaches and eternal sunshine.

Families should consider July, or August. Those seeking white water thrills should choose to raft in May or June. A late June/July/August trip on the Wenatchee is best for those who just want time on the water for relaxation, water fighting and taking the occasional refreshing dip.

We float from Leavenworth down to Cashmere's Riverside Park - roughly 14 miles in length. (In low water, we will shorten the trip but keep the 2 - 3.5 hours on the water the same.)

Afterwards, take advantage of all that the Wenatchee River Valley has to offer - wineries, fruit stands, farmer’s markets, hiking, browsing the unique shops of Leavenworth.

See you in the sunshine of the Wenatchee!
