You step from drizzle into the warm hush of a converted Victorian cotton mill; light pools on wooden beams and props that catch like stage smoke. The room closes behind you and for the next 90 minutes the mill’s brickwork and cinematic set-pieces rewrite the map — potion bottles glint, a guide’s voice nudges you toward clues, and real wands invite you to act, not just observe.

Merlin’s Magic Academy occupies space in a former cotton mill; Stockport’s 19th-century mills exploited local rivers and steam power and later found new life in creative reuse.
The venue occupies repurposed industrial fabric, reducing new construction; visitors are encouraged to travel by public transport and limit single‑use plastics in group meetups.
