About This Adventure

About

Flotillas are fun sailing events for Seattle Sailing Club members and their guests. These programs are a great way to get to know other members of the SSC community, polish up your sailing skills, learn from more experienced sailors, and explore the beautiful Puget Sound. The program represents a way for members to sail together in a relaxed environment, to have fun, build skills, and share knowledge and experience. In these events, members are welcome to sail to a destination or sail around the Puget Sound - the activity for the sail will be discussed between the skipper and crew of each boat.

Note: This is a Seattle Sailing Club Member Program. If you are not a member of SSC, but would like more information, please call our office.

Sign-up

Important: Personal information such as your name, phone number, and email address will be shared with the skipper and crew of the boat you’re sailing on.

Registration for this event will close 72-hours before the event.

  • On the calendar, there are multiple “events” available starting at the same time. Each one has a designated boat that you can see in the headline. Choose which boat you’d like to sail on and register.

  • Skippers are welcome to invite 2 guests. Crew are welcome to invite 1 guest.

  • Only 1 skipper spot is available per boat. In order for the group to go out sailing, there has to be a skipper. In the event a skipper does not sign-up, crew who have signed up may be asked to serve as a skipper based on their qualifications. If crew are not qualified to skipper the boat, they may be moved onto other boats if room is available.

  • If the events are full, sign-up for a waitlist. If you sign up as a skipper on the waitlist, it is likely we will be able to add another boat to the event and find a crew. Waitlist skippers have a higher chance of moving off of the waitlist.

Detailed information about the below items will come in your confirmation email.

  • When signing up, you will sign-up for a specific boat and position - skipper or crew. The specific boat is listed in the Headline of the event.
  • Skippers are responsible for contacting crew before the event. The Club will share contact information for each boat's crew.
  • Skipper & Crew meet at their designated boat.
  • Cancellation/Refund Policy (review the policy below)
  • If you are sick or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 5 days, we ask that you do not attend the event - please give us a call.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Flotillas are popular events at Seattle Sailing Club. We have a running waitlist for members who would like to participate. Please let us know if you would like to cancel as soon as possible.

  • All cancellations must be sent directly to info@seattlesailing.com. Do not reply to any of your automatic event emails - we will not receive your cancellation.
  • Cancellations are available up to 72 hours in advance for a full refund. Cancellations within 72 hours of the event are non-refundable or transferable.
  • Refunds or transfers are not given to no-shows.
  • Cancellations made by the Club due to heavy conditions, low visibility or thunder/lightning can happen. In these cases, you will be refunded for your event or you may use the credit toward a future event. Send us an email to let us know if you would like to be refunded or rebooked to another event.
