Have fun, build skills, and share knowledge!
Flotillas are fun sailing events for Seattle Sailing Club members and their guests. These programs are a great way to get to know other members of the SSC community, polish up your sailing skills, learn from more experienced sailors, and explore the beautiful Puget Sound. The program represents a way for members to sail together in a relaxed environment, to have fun, build skills, and share knowledge and experience. In these events, members are welcome to sail to a destination or sail around the Puget Sound - the activity for the sail will be discussed between the skipper and crew of each boat.
Note: This is a Seattle Sailing Club Member Program. If you are not a member of SSC, but would like more information, please call our office.
Important: Personal information such as your name, phone number, and email address will be shared with the skipper and crew of the boat you’re sailing on.
Registration for this event will close 72-hours before the event.
On the calendar, there are multiple “events” available starting at the same time. Each one has a designated boat that you can see in the headline. Choose which boat you’d like to sail on and register.
Skippers are welcome to invite 2 guests. Crew are welcome to invite 1 guest.
Only 1 skipper spot is available per boat. In order for the group to go out sailing, there has to be a skipper. In the event a skipper does not sign-up, crew who have signed up may be asked to serve as a skipper based on their qualifications. If crew are not qualified to skipper the boat, they may be moved onto other boats if room is available.
If the events are full, sign-up for a waitlist. If you sign up as a skipper on the waitlist, it is likely we will be able to add another boat to the event and find a crew. Waitlist skippers have a higher chance of moving off of the waitlist.
Flotillas are popular events at Seattle Sailing Club. We have a running waitlist for members who would like to participate. Please let us know if you would like to cancel as soon as possible.
