La ciudad de Madinat al Zahra,en español Medina Azahara, fue mandada a construir por Abderramán III, el primer califa omeya de Al-Andalus. Son varios los motivos que rodean a la construcción, bien de índole político-ideológica, o habladurías populares que afirman que fue edificada en homenaje la esposa favorita del califa, Azahara, de ahí el nombre de la medina. En esta visita guiada conocerás las dependencias más importantes de este complejo palaciego como la casa del yafar, el gran pórtico y el salón rico.
