Spend one night in Medieval Transylvania - Brasov City. Travel through the cities and towns of Sinaia, Bran and Brasov, and tick off top Transylvania attractions such as Peles Castle, Bran Castle (Dracula’s Castle), the Black Church (Biserica Neagra), Unirea Salt Mine and Libearty Bear Sanctuary.
First Day Leave in the morning from Bucharest and head to Unirea Salt Mine. Known as the biggest salt mine in Europe, stands today for one of the most important watering and climatic resorts in Romania.Unique in the country, but also in Europe.We will continue our trip and in about 1 hours you will be in Sinaia City where you will visit Peles Castle, the summer residence of the first king of Romania, Carol I of Hohenzollern, of German origins. Being surrounded by the mountains, Brasov is home to one of the narrowest streets in Europe. Then take a peek inside the Black Church, the largest Gothic church in Romania. You will be overnight in Brasov City.
Second Day After breakfast, we will go to visit Libearty Bear Sanctuary, home to almost 90 rescued brown bears. More than 69 hectares of forest with rivers and ponds are now the home of almost 90 brown bears. Most of the bears in the Sanctuary were rescued from the most miserable and small cages where they were used as a form of entertainment for tourist attractions.From 2008 this wild place is visited and you will see the sight of bears climbing trees, playing in the water pools or just lazing in the meadows. You will continue the day, and in about one hour driving trought the Carpathian Mountains, will arrive at Bran Castle. Also called Dracula's Castle, built originally as a fortress,surrounded by an aura of mystery and legend,owes its fame to its imposing towers and turrets as well as to the myth created around Bram Stocker's Dracula.Along the history, the Castle had a strategic mission being the border between Transylvania and Wallachia. Narrow winding stairways lead through some 60 timber rooms, many connected by underground passages, which house collections of furniture, weapons and armor dating from the 14th to the 19th centuries. This trip will end in the evening, back to Bucharest.
