You lift off from a sun-warmed ridge and the canyon opens beneath you: a green throat of cliffs, ribbons of waterfalls and the Calderas River threading silver through boulders. For up to 25 minutes the valley pushes and holds you aloft; later the same day a raft answers the river’s dare, plunging through sustained class III–IV drops for about 2.5 hours.

Rafting includes sustained class III–IV sections—novice rafters can participate with experienced guides but should expect physical, technical rapids.

If the flight can’t be done due to weather the operator typically refunds a partial amount (noted at around USD 55) and adjusts the day to prioritize safety.
