All of our Surf Lessons are taught on the beaches and waters off of Kalama park. A.k.A. ‘The Cove’ in Kihei, Maui. This is the best place to learn to surf in all of Maui maybe even the world, due to the semi-shallow water depth and slow break of the waves with an average year-round water temp of 79° — It’s just awesome… We are fully permitted by the Maui County Parks Dept.
Lessons are 2 hours in length and include everything you need for the waves. We also have a professional photographer to capture the proof of your new surfing skills. Photo packages are sold separately, but at a very fair price. We take great pride in our surf lesson and teach everyone the proper technique of popping up directly to your feet. We do not teach the knee slide pop-up. Our professional instructors genuinely want you to learn to surf. You will Surf in One lesson Regardless of Age or Athletic Ability...GUARANTEED!
Our classes are scheduled at 8 am & again at 10:00 am in the mornings. Every day except for Sundays. You DO need to reserve your spot in advance. The classes fill quickly In Hawaii, we normally have strong trade winds in the afternoons, limiting our schedule during that time. The best time to surf in Hawaii is early morning... Clean sets & beautiful skies! We look forward to teaching you soon, and guarantee, you will surf your first lesson! Each of our professional instructor's is CPR & First Aid certified, and, of course, the very best on the island. Private & semi-private lessons are always available.
We recommend taking your lesson early in your island stay so that you can come back and use your new skills on the warm waves of Maui.
We do not have a minimum age, due to kids being so different, but if the child is 8 and under, we highly recommend a parent take the lesson with them. Families have a blast surfing together!!! This could be the high lite of your island stay!!
