SUP C is the third session of the SUP ABC beginner series designed for those who have already taken the Learn to Paddleboard, SUP A and B classes. SUP C will fine tune basic paddling skills, review more advanced steering strokes and introduce cross board techniques plus bracing.The ABC's of SUP is perfect for those that want to build stamina and skills for a longer paddleboard tour. Each SUP ABC practice session begins in a protected embayment on the Hoboken side of the Hudson River with stunning views of Manhattan as the backdrop. A certified guide will lead the skills practice, take the group out onto the river and help participants improve their skills .
Every class follows the American Canoe Association curriculum and industry standards for risk management. The “challenge by choice” model will be used to ensure comfort while allowing each person to participate at his or her own level and develop skills at his or her own speed. These classes are offered several times each week throughout the season in order to provide flexible scheduling options.Please note: This class is designed for adults over 18. Teens 13- 17 may be able to join when accompanied by a parent. Advance approval is required.
