At 5-miles long, the Masterclass Bike Tour is a piece of cake! Delving into the Leeds suburbs, the Masterclass Bike Tour is a small 5-mile ride through town, but it's incredibly rewarding. You'll start off at Queens Hotel, which is great if you're staying in town. This Art Deco flagship hotel was built in 1937 for the former London, Midland & Scottish Railway that stands beside the Leeds train station. From the front of the hotel and onto Cookridge Street, you will find yourself on a straight road that takes you through and past the likes of Millennium Square, Leeds Art Gallery and Leeds City Museum, before diverting off the route to head south-east towards Scott Hall. Through Meanwood, you'll come to Buslingthorpe Lane which leads you onto the Meanwood Valley Farm - it's the perfect place to stop to have a rest, while looking out over the 24 acre farm itself; home to a variety of farm animals including alpacas, goats, sheep, pigs, hens, donkeys, and ducks. (Admission: Adults £2.00, Children 50p).
Starting on Scott Hall Street just by Meanwood Valley Farm, you'll take on a 1.9-mile route that should be relatively straightforward. You'll ride alongside Scott Hall Road, before crossing over onto Stainbeck Lane, before arriving at Casa Mia just in the heart of Chapel Allerton, for you to recharge and begin your masterclass.
