Overview

This course covers the State required classroom course work, written test and shooting proficiency test required to obtain a State of Texas issued License to Carry permit.

Shooting proficiency test: Average 1 hour 20 rounds at 3 yards, 20 rounds at 7 yards and 10 rounds at 15 yards.

Topics Covered

In this course, we go over the laws surrounding your ability to carry on your person as well as a 50 round shooting proficiency.

IMPORTANT NOTE The LTC Class & Shooting Qualification is not a beginner handgun course; prior shooting experience is required, as instructors cannot provide training during the proficiency test.

Student Should Bring

  • Pen & Paper
  • Closed toe shoes and avoid low cut shirts
  • Firearm that is cased and unloaded
  • 50 rounds of ammunition
  • Drink (if desired, there are vending machines available)
