About This Adventure

Experience the joy of bonding with your dog in the water with our unique Dog Swim Lesson Experience! Paddle together on stable boards in the serene Liberty Station channel, where your pup can build confidence and skills at their own pace. Enjoy hands-on guidance, action photos, and a supportive environment for both of you.

Whether you're unsure if your dog knows how to swim or you know they need a little more practice, our Dog Swim Lesson Experience is the perfect introduction to the water—done the SUP Pups way: interactive, fun, and supportive!

Unlike typical indoor dog swim facilities where pups are placed in a small pool alone and owners can only watch from the sidelines, this experience is all about connection and confidence—for both of you. You and your dog will paddle out on stable boards into the calm channel of Liberty Station, where we’ll take our time getting your pup comfortable on the board and then gradually introduce them to the water at their own pace.

Your dog will have the opportunity to swim back and forth—from the instructor to you, or between partners—building trust, skill, and a positive relationship with the water. This is ideal for first-timers, cautious swimmers, or any dog who just needs a little more support and practice.

What’s Included:

  • Paddle board use and instruction
  • Action photos and videos
  • Hands-on, interactive swim guidance from a certified SUP Pups instructor
  • Calm, safe environment in the Liberty Station waterway
  • Plenty of praise, treats, and tail wags!
  • Dog life vest if needed
  • Human Waist PFD

Let’s make your pup a more confident swimmer—with you by their side the whole way.

Location

SUP Pups is located in Liberty Station, Point Loma in beautiful San Diego behind the Courtyard Marriott Hotel. We are partnered with West Coast Paddle Sports that provides the paddle board rentals. Together we paddle down a very calm channel way that leads into a dead end where a private military dock is. The waterway is a no-wake zone for boaters and barely has boat traffic. We depart from a sandy beach but please be careful of the surrounding rocks and sharp oyster shells.

Duration

1 Hour : Land Demo + Paddle Time

Who can come??

For the humans, it doesn't matter if you have never paddle boarded before, we LOVE when it is you and your pups first experience together.

Don't know how to swim? No problem! We will suit you up with a life jacket and you will wear a SUP leash around your ankle that will be attached to the board.

Current Pricing:

1 human + 1 dog: $70 2 humans + 1 dog: $90
