6-week after school program
1 lesson every Tuesday or Wednesday, Thursday afterschool or a Saturday morning (same class each week) 4.00-5.15pm or 5.15-6.30pm Saturdays: 9am or 10.15am
Our Orewa Afterschool Surfers Club runs during terms 1 & 4.
Each term we have 2 classes after school every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday after school or on a Saturday morning.
Each class is a good 1.25 hour length and each term consists of an 6-week surfing program.
Surfers can book for 1 time slot on either a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and join at this time every week for 6 weeks in a row
All equipment is provided including surfboards & wetsuits or surfers are given the option to bring their own.
Group sizes are limited.
We will operate other activities / surf education should conditions not be suitable for surfing however this rarely happens.
Appropriate coaching, training and supervision is given at all times.

We meet next to the Surf Lifesaving club toilets at Orewa Beach
Plan to arrive at least 10 minutes before your lesson to get ready and not miss any part of the session.
Wear swimwear under your wetsuit and bring a towel for after the lesson to stay comfortable.
Bring a water bottle to stay refreshed before and after paddling in the ocean.
Use sunscreen and wear a hat for time on the beach before and after surfing.
Orewa Beach has long been a recreational spot for Aucklanders, with Maori history tied to coastal fishing traditions in the area.
The surf club promotes ocean awareness and sustainable use, emphasizing respect for marine life and beach cleanliness during lessons.
