The Northern Lights are typically most visible between September and March, with the peak viewing season from December to February during long, dark nights.
No prior experience is necessary. The workshop is designed for all skill levels, with instructors tailoring guidance to each participant's background.
A DSLR or mirrorless camera that allows manual control of settings like ISO, shutter speed, and aperture is recommended for the best results.
There is no strict age limit, but children should be accompanied by an adult and able to handle the cold conditions.
The workshop proceeds regardless of aurora activity forecast, as instructors provide valuable skills and tips that apply even in less active nights.
Tripods are generally required and may be provided depending on specific arrangements, but bringing your own is recommended for personal comfort and familiarity.
The region is traditional Sami territory, with a rich heritage connected to reindeer herding and Arctic survival skills.
Local guides emphasize low-impact practices to preserve the fragile Arctic environment and reduce light pollution affecting aurora visibility.
