Join Minehead Eye's Skate School for an exciting one-hour session with expert tutor Albert, perfect for ages 6 and up. Learn essential skatepark etiquette, safe falling techniques, and the joy of self-expression in a supportive community. Enjoy refreshments from the onsite café while you skate, with equipment provided if needed.

The lesson is structured with 1 hour of skateboarding instructing with Minehead Eye's skate tutor Albert. This session is suitable for anyone ages 6 and over.
Our Skate School courses ensure every skater learns skatepark etiquette, techniques of safe falling, the components of a skateboard and the importance of inclusion, self expression and positivity within the community of skateboarders.
If you've never stepped on a skateboard and are totally new to the sport or have a very small amount of ability, this is the right course for you to learn the basics.
The onsite café is open during this session to grab a refreshing drink or pizza along with your skate.
You are welcome to bring your own equipment, but if you need to use ours we can supply helmets, skateboards and pads free of charge.
Getting to the skatepark 15 minutes early lets beginners stretch and prepare their balance and focus before lessons start.
Long sleeves and pants can protect against scrapes; helmets and pads are provided but come dressed for movement.
Bring a water bottle or grab a drink at the onsite café to keep energy levels up during sessions.
Falling safely is key—pay attention to guidance to minimize injury risks and build confidence on the board.
