In this fun two-hour class, you’ll also whip up a zingy wasabi mayo, a delicious dipping sauce and a quick radish pickle to go with your creations – and leave with the confidence to make your own sushi at home.

This is a class best suited to and supervised by adults. Our online classes are sold on a per household basis, so as long as everyone is in the same room, you can have as many participants as you like! ONE PARTICIPANT = ONE HOUSEHOLD If you are booking a place for yourself as well as others based in another household, please be advised that email addresses for each household must be supplied at the point of booking. Unique Zoom joining instructions will be sent to all, as well as additional information relating to ingredients and general preparation for the class.

You Will Need (Serves 2)

  • 200g sushi rice (Japanese short grain rice)
  • 8 nori sheets
  • 1 sushi rolling mat (per person)
  • 8 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 50g caster sugar
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 4 tablespoons low-salt soy sauce
  • 1 lemon
  • 3 spring onions
  • 1 fresh red chilli
  • 3 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 30g wasabi paste
  • 1cm piece of ginger
  • 8 pink radishes
  • ½ a salmon fillet (130g), from sustainable sources
  • ¼ of a carrot
  • ¼ of a cucumber
  • 1 small avocado
  • vegetable oil
