Dive into an immersive 5-day experience with the TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Diver courses, designed to elevate your diving skills. Learn to safely use enriched air nitrox and master planned decompression techniques, laying the groundwork for your technical diving journey. Expand your horizons and push beyond sport diving limits!
5 Days 8 Hours each day
Both classes can be taught in conjunction with each other to provide a better understanding of how they go hand in hand and produce a more economical class.
TDI ADVANCED NITROX: The TDI Advanced Nitrox Course qualifies divers to use enriched air nitrox from EAN 21 through EAN 100 percent within your current certification level to a maximum depth of 130 feet during dives that do not require staged decompression. Often taught in conjunction with the TDI Decompression Procedures course, this can be considered the foundation of your technical diving career. TDI Advanced Nitrox is also a must for SCR or CCR divers.
TDI DECOMPRESSION DIVER: As sport divers, planned decompression is not something that we do or have been taught. The TDI Decompression Procedures Course prepares you for planned staged decompression diving. With a maximum operating depth of 150 feet, this course is your first step beyond the normal sport diving limits. The TDI Decompression Procedures Course combined with the TDI Advanced Nitrox course form the foundation of all other technical courses. After these two courses and some additional experience, the stage has been set for you to move onto additional technical levels.
Course prerequisites
Diving can dehydrate you quickly; drink plenty of water before and after your dives to stay safe and comfortable.
Ensure your nitrox-compatible gear and dive computers are functioning perfectly to manage gas mixtures accurately.
Communicate dive plans clearly, especially for decompression stops and gas switches, to ensure safety underwater.
Allow sufficient surface intervals and rest between dives to optimize decompression and avoid fatigue.
Ormond Beach has a rich history as a diving hub on Florida's east coast, evolving since the 1950s into a center for both recreational and technical diving education.
Local dive operators actively participate in reef preservation programs to ensure sustainable diving practices and protect marine biodiversity.
Critical for monitoring oxygen exposure and decompression profiles accurately.
Provides stability and safety during complex dive profiles with gas switches.
Helps to chart decompression stops and communicate effectively underwater.
Protects from cold, abrasions, and stings during extended dives in Florida waters.
