Join our intimate paddling session designed for beginners! With a small group of just six, you'll learn essential techniques, from paddle strokes to standing up on your board. Gain confidence and skills in a supportive environment, ensuring you're ready to join larger group paddles in no time.
Have you wanted to join our group paddles, but have never stood up on a board? Are you worried that you will be way behind the group? Do you want a little practice session so you aren't worried about falling in with a large group? Did you buy a board and it still hasn't touched the water?
Then this is the event for you! Trying a new activity can be intimidating, but we are here to help. In this small (limited to 6 people) group, we will go over all of the basics and techniques starting with your paddle stroke, and how to get from kneeling to standing, and even how to get back on the board after falling off.
We won't venture far from our starting point, and will work to get your confidence and skill level up so that you are ready for our larger group paddles.
You may only need one of these lessons, or you may want to do a couple until you feel more prepared - we will advise you on if you would be able to stay with the paddle pack, or should stay with this novice group another time or two.
Give yourself plenty of time to get familiar with your gear and meet the instructor before paddling begins.
Non-slip water shoes or sandals will help protect your feet both on and off the board.
