Description:

In this class you will learn the basics of drawing from a holster.
There is no better time to learn: • Techniques • Develop Skills • Gain confidence

This course will present fundamental skills required to safely draw and re-holster, exchange magazines, and engage targets. Learning from two positions: • Typical combat stance • High-Tuck position

We will also explore different types of holsters, which holsters should be used for firearm’s, best body placement, preferred clothing, and clothing materials.

  • After completing this course, you may be permitted to draw from your holster on our range when authorized by a range officer.

  • THIS COURSE IS A PREREQUISITE FOR WEDNESDAY “MAGNUM SHOOTING COMPETITION” (USPSA STYLE)

Level: Intermediate

Prerequisite: In order to take this class, the participant needs to have taken

  • Firearms Fundamentals HG101, and/or any Magnum CHP HG102 Class
  • Forward of the Line & Competitive Shooting - Safety Class GS100

What to Bring

  • 1 1/2 to 2 inch ridged belt or Gun belt
  • Strong-side holster (Kydex/Leather)
  • Magazine Pouch
  • 2 Magazines
  • 200 rounds of ammo

  • Belly-band Holster
  • Ankle Holster
  • Shoulder holster
  • Soft Holster
  • Small of the back Holster NOTE: Black Hawk, SERPA brand holster is not allowed for this class or on the Range
    NOTE: SIG Sauer P320 pistols are NOT ALLOWED for this class

*Firearm, eye protection, ear protection, and ammunition. Ammunition is available for purchase at Magnum Shooting Center. Anyone unable to make it 5 minutes past class start time will be required to reschedule. You Must Be 21 years old to rent a handgun unless you are with a parent or legal guardian.
