Adventure Tips

Prepare Your Hive Equipment in Advance

Ensure your hive components are clean and ready before receiving your package bees to facilitate a smooth installation.

Install Bees in Warm Weather

The best time to install bees is when daytime temperatures exceed 55°F to encourage rapid acceptance and minimal stress.

Avoid Pesticide Exposure Nearby

Set up your apiary away from areas with pesticide use to prevent colony losses and maintain bee health.

Use a Bee Smoker Gently

A light smoke calms the bees during installation but use sparingly to avoid overheating or stress.
