Embark on a unique 3-hour journey through the McAlpine Locks, to experience this engineering marvel. While multiple lock systems have been in place since 1830, the current version was built in the 1920s and provide the only safe way to navigate past the Falls of the Ohio. This cruise includes special narration about the history of the Locks, as well as play-by-play narration of their mechanism as we navigate through them. After passing through the Locks, we will cruise farther downriver before returning to the Louisville Wharf. (NOTE: length of cruise varies depending on river traffic.)
