You pull away from the hotel as late afternoon light softens the desert; a ribbon of asphalt gives way to raw sand and craggy ridgelines. Engines thrum, and the first push over a dune opens a panoramic hush—sand shifting like slow water, the Red Sea a blue smear on the horizon. This is a Marsa Alam evening safari: quad or dune buggy across Sahara flats, a short camel walk, and a Bedouin camp set for dinner beneath a wide, star-pricked sky.
