About

Our sit in top kayaks are a great way to explore the river. All of our kayaks have a section where your kit can be stowed on the boat – and we can provide a dry bag for keys/wallet/phones etc. Be aware that you will get splash wet, so dress appropriately.

A 1 hour hire will allow you to paddle downstream, towards Marlow passing a number of magnificent houses and under the famous Marlow Suspension bridge. Turn at the lock to make your journey back towards Bisham Abbey.

For longer hires you will have time to paddle through the lock at Marlow, downstream towards Bourne End and even on to Cookham. Alternatively you can paddle upstream towards Hurley Lock. Paddlers can exit on to the grass at the lock, have a picnic, or leave the boats and walk in to Hurley village to get an ice-cream or have a pub lunch. For those wanting a longer challenge, head further upstream in to the Hambleden stretch or even on to Henley.

What to expect

Access to the water and parking is easy at our base in Bisham Abbey, follow the signs for Boat Hire as you drive into the site. You will be given a full safety briefing before getting kitted up with buoyancy aids and paddles. You will then be helped onto the water by one of our crew.
