On a Christmas Eve brunch cruise in Marina del Rey, the harbor becomes a stage: palm-fringed breakwaters pass close by, fishing boats rock with polite momentum, and the shoreline of Santa Monica and Venice offers a slow-moving parade of beachfront life.
