20 Miles (Approx 4 Hours)
This guided bike tour goes towards City Island the Bronx, riding on some of the best hidden greenways NYC has to offer. Trying to find these greenways aren't easy, (as their is no signage) but with this tour, you will be guided in the right direction. We ride up to Pelham Manor in Westchester Country via the Bronx Greenway System. (it takes 20 minutes riding on local streets to get to these Greenways or you can choose to ride on the ferry that will bring us close to them) Optional ferry ride would take us to/from the Soundview section in the Bronx, and would bypass most of the local streets. Only negative is missing the Randalls Island greenways. You can always chose to do 1 way ferry and 1 way ride or both ways ferry, or both ways we ride the bikes.
You should know how to operate a bike and feel comfortable riding in a busy city environment.
This tour includes sections on busy city streets, so confident bike handling in urban environments is important.
