Craft Beers of Maine Enjoy craft beers from local brewers and cider houses paired expertly with fabulous meals you have come to expect from the Riggin galley.
Your very own Captain Justin & Chef Jocelyn will be your guides on this adventure! Taste and choose a beer to pair with your lunch from a selection Jocelyn has chosen, and at the end of a long sailing day, head ashore with Captain Justin for a tasting and tour at one of the many small breweries along the coast. One night of the trip, we will head to the beach to enjoy a lobster feast.
Craft Cocktails of Maine Each cocktail is crafted with the intention to combine unique flavors from around the world with fresh local ingredients from our community and our own backyard. Learn how to create delightful combinations of your own from our knowledgeable host or sit back and enjoy a cocktail pairing with hors d'oeuvres, dinner, or brunch. Mocktails are also available for those who do not wish to indulge in the available cocktail.
Wine Pairings with Kim Hamlin of Fiber & Vine Dining aboard the J. & E. Riggin just got better!
Kim Hamlin of Fiber & Vine will join us for this adventure collaborating with Chef Jocelyn to pair wines with select appetizers, dinners, and even dessert!
The J. & E. Riggin, a beautiful, historic two-masted schooner. She was designated a National Historic Monument in 1991. She is 89′ long on deck, 120′ overall, 23′ wide and draws 7′ with her centerboard up. She was built in 1927 as an oyster dredger and rebuilt for passenger sail in 1977.
The Riggin is fully equipped with GPS, radar, and radio. She meets all Coast Guard requirements for construction and safety equipment. Certified to carry passengers, she fully meets all requirements for stability and watertight integrity. The Riggin has no inboard engine. Her sixteen-foot diesel-powered yawl boat can be used during calm spells for maneuvering into or out of tight harbors.
Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before departure to ensure a timely and smooth check-in process.
Coastal Maine can be cool and breezy even on warm days; bring layers to stay comfortable during the sail.
Wear sunscreen and a hat, as much of the cruise takes place on open decks with full sun exposure.

The J. & E. Riggin schooner was originally built in 1927 for fishing and now serves as a living piece of Maine’s maritime heritage.
