You step up the steep brick stairs that crown Cleopatra Hill and the town exhales below — peeling paint, narrow storefronts, and the thin hum of Route 89A. The hour-long Main Street Ghost Adventure moves at a purposeful walking pace through Jerome’s downtown: past the sliding jail, the cribs district, and the Haunted Hamburger, while guides hand out EMF meters and a PSB-11 spirit box so you can run your own short investigation.

Jerome grew rapidly after the late-19th-century copper boom; mining terraces, worker cribs, and sliding structures reflect both the economic rush and unstable geology of Mingus Mountain.
Jerome is a small community balancing tourism with preservation—stick to marked paths, respect private properties, and avoid touching fragile historic fabric to limit wear.
