Before dawn the balloon crew assembles on the desert plain and the first burner roars—an orange pulse against the cool air. You step into the basket as the Nile keeps time below, and the city of Luxor shrinks into a geometry of temple pylons, colonnades and river curves. For 35–40 minutes the balloon drifts low over the East and West Banks, offering a quiet, aerial overview that ground tours can’t match: Karnak’s sprawl, the line of obelisks, and the cut terraces of the Valley of the Kings laid out like pages in an open book.
