You step off a subway and the city smells change: oven-charred crust, sweet tomato, and the faint caramel of melted mozzarella cut through the traffic hum. Walking south from Columbus Circle or starting directly in the Village, this private pizza experience threads five of Lower Manhattan’s most highly rated pizzerias into a single, self-paced tasting route.

Most areas in the route are sidewalk-accessible and restaurants report accessibility, but call individual pizzerias if you need detailed accommodation info.
The kit includes information on each stop’s offerings; many pizzerias offer vegetarian options, but vegan and gluten-free options vary—check the included notes before you go.
Plan 2–3 hours to taste five slices at a relaxed pace and visit a nearby point of interest between stops.
Much of Lower Manhattan’s pizza scene grew from early 20th-century Italian immigrant bakeries and coal/brick-oven techniques that shaped New York’s distinct slice styles.
Support small businesses by minimizing packaging waste—bring a reusable bag and compost napkins where possible; many shops are small and favor local sourcing.
