This is Upscale Camping!

The Little John Yurt is 16-feet in diameter sits on our trails with great views of the Wheeler Peak Wilderness from the front porch. The yurt is semi-primitive, but comfortable, and features:

• Comfortable beds for up to 6: 2 twin and 2 double futon sofa beds (you supply bedding. 0º sleeping bags highly recommended); • Pillows, fitted sheets and pillowcases; • Hammock; • Wood stove for heat with firewood; • Dining table and chairs; • Kitchen area with some cooking supplies and a three-burner propane cook stove; • Propane lantern’ • Port-A-Potty.

This is still camping in a tent, not a hotel room. There is no room or maid service. Heat is provided by a wood stove (wood provided). It can get cold overnight, but not as cold as in a tent only. You must provide your own sleeping bag (at least 30º or colder rating recommended), food, and transport (hike or mountain bike) to the yurt

We provide a wagon for helping transport your stuff to the yurt, and gear delivery is available for $50 (1 trip out and 1 trip back).

In summer we provide 15-25 gallons water, but it is always a good idea to bring some with you.

We provide kitchen items, pots, pans, plates, silverware etc. and a stove and lantern. See complete yurt instructions (available after booking) for a more comprehensive list.
