This adventure will lead us to explore the old neighborhoods like Alfama and Mouraria and some secret and important places in terms of the Portuguese roots in Lisbon like a real Lisbon local.

Since the beginning, until the end of our walk, our purpose is to share the highlights of this area to transform you into a Lisbon local in a faster and great way, we will share everything that we know about the history, culture, and art for you to feel the real spirit of the city.

From Mouraria to Alfama you will walk through a lot of narrow streets with hundreds of years of history in a relaxed and funny way. You will learn about Fado music and you will see where it started, you will see people doing barbecues on the streets, amazing tributes to honor the elderly people in Lisbon, breathtaking viewpoints, unique examples of Moorish architecture and drink our famous Lisbon liquor Ginjinha! “With or without?” The tavern owner will ask you…we will tell you the answer later!:). It will be a day to reveal all of our secrets, so be prepared!

Itinerary

Places we will visit include:

  • Mouraria
  • Alfama

Meeting Point: We will meet in front of Farmácia Mouraria near to Martim Moniz square, it’s only at 100 meters distance from the Martim Moniz subway station.

End location: We will finish in the neighborhood of Alfama.

Availability: 11 am to 12:30 pm or from 2 pm to 3:30 pm. Monday to Saturday. Call us or send us an email after the booking to confirm the time to start.

Pick-up and drop-off: not included

Transportation: This will be a walking tour, this adventure is placed on the main historical center.
