Dawn breaks over the Atlantic as the van eases south from Lisbon and the road narrows into the low, green shoulders of Arrábida Natural Park. Limestone walls rise straight from coves; the cliffs look like hands pulled up from the sea, daring you to find purchase. You clip in, learn a few knots, and move across compact crags that alternate between exposed faces and scrub-covered ledges.

Moderate — able to hike on uneven terrain, manage brief exposure and follow ropework instruction for climbs and rappels.
No — the guide teaches knots, belaying and basic movement; participants should be comfortable with heights and have moderate fitness.
Private transport, climbing equipment (helmets, harnesses, ropes), snacks, lunch, and some alcoholic beverages for the final toast are included.
The meeting point is by the Lisbon Zoo entrance (Jardim Zoológico metro) at 8:30 AM; return is to the same location in the afternoon/evening.
If rain prevents safe rock climbing the operator switches to a water bouldering and coastal kayaking experience so the day remains active.
Arrábida Natural Park was established to protect the coastal massif and its unique limestone cliffs; the area has long been used by fishermen and pilgrims alike.
The marine reserve restricts certain activities to protect reefs and kelp beds—respect no-anchoring zones, avoid collecting marine life, and pack out all waste.
