About

At the end of the Tram #28 line starts another journey: visit the gastro-trendy neighborhood of Campo de Ourique! Full of restaurants and cafes, where residents live a quieter life enjoying terraces and streets full of small boutique shops close by. Campo de Ourique is a neighborhood of the nineteenth century with a pioneering nature and booster of new food and lifestyle concepts, attracting since ever, thinkers, poets, artists, foodies and chefs who reinvent traditional spaces and offer a more relaxed professional experimentalist gastronomy.

Throughout the food & culture we take you on a foodie and cultural journey through renovated spaces like the local food market, the bakery of The Best Chocolate Cake of the World, a seafood restaurant, a slow-cooked pork specialized restaurant, the cafeteria of the Museum of the biggest Portuguese poet of XX Century Fernando Pessoa for taste the very Portuguese hearty food in a traditional dish, and a small luxury charm hotel's restaurant that is at the same time a school. All these stops to taste the very trendy and local food specialties of this neighborhood dusted with historical insights and stories about food traditions and locals.

During our 3 hours and 6 stops tour, we lead you in small groups (max.12), small enough not to feel like in a touristic tour, but rather intimate leisure walk among friends through Lisbon and its many diamonds in the rough.

We advise you to do this tour at the beginning of your stay in Lisbon. You will be armed with information, knowledge, and confidence to continue exploring areas where locals live and you will find out what and where to eat well.

In one sentence: the tour is a great way for you to experience places and food in Lisbon you would never know otherwise.

And remember: join us with a slightly hungry stomach - 6 Portuguese modern and creative tasting stops are waiting for you.
