The run starts at Kloof Nek as the city yawns and the Atlantic breeze pushes up the slopes—feet find a steady rhythm on compacted earth while Cape Town unfolds below. You loop around Lion's Head and swing past the flanks of Signal Hill in a figure-eight route, where the path alternates between rocky outcrops and broom-scented fynbos. Early light picks out Table Mountain's cliff face and the ocean's ribbon to the west; the wind often joins, testing cadence and focus.
