About

Top-Shelf charter fishing experience! No one catches bigger lingcod up to 54 pounds, as consistent as we do! Offered year around, October thru March is the best time to catch the giants. Fishing the Oregon Coast and deep-sea for Lingcod and Rockfish is always an adventure! You never know what you will reel up from the deep!

For 2022 the limit is (2 Lingcod, 5 rockfish, 1 halibut (May-Sept.)). Plan to meet me at sunrise at my charter office in Charleston for a cup of hot coffee and get a fishing license if you need one. From there we head to the boat launch just a minute away from where we launch the boat and head out fishing on the ocean. Enjoy views of the rugged coastline and wildlife that call it home. Keep an eye out for whales as we head down the coastline to one of my favorite reefs where we will jig for rockfish and trophy lingcod in 50 to 350 feet of water.

Once you have caught your limit of fish or the allotted fishing time has expired we will head back to port and the charter office. Once at the dock have your fish processed and packaged for freshness. The filleting of the catch is available for an additional fee of around 20$ a limit. If you would d like your catch vacuum sealed it usually takes overnight and can be arranged through Chucks Seafood in Charleston. They charge about 1$ per vac bag. The trip duration lasts approximately five to six hours from start to finish. One of the most popular trips I offer. Use our premium Electric or Conventional reels, braided line, and live bait to catch the big one. Colorful rockfish and trophy lingcod always bring smiles to the faces of my customers.

A popular option with this trip is to add crabbing for an additional $75 dollars per angler. The mild white flaky meat of these fish is perfect for deep-frying, baking, and steaming. Many reefs are close to the port and hardly ever fished due to the remote nature of Charleston, Oregon.
