About This Adventure

Join Seattle Sailing Club's vibrant LGBTQ+ Program, where you can sail, socialize, and forge lasting friendships in a supportive community. Enjoy monthly gatherings, educational seminars, and exciting overnight cruises, all while advocating for awareness on the water. Everyone is welcome—no prior connections needed! Experience the joy of sailing together.

About our LGBTQ+ Programs

Seattle Sailing Club's LGBTQ+ Program's mission is to provide a safe and welcoming place for our LGBTQ+ members and allies to fulfill their sailing goals and enjoy socializing with a supportive, like-minded community, as well as promote advocacy and awareness on the water. We have seen how our Women's Program has succeeded in bringing women together, fostering lifelong friendships, and providing valuable educational opportunities, and we hope to create a similar model for the LGBTQ+ community.

For all club members and spouses/partners that identify as or are supportive towards LGBTQ+. Also for CYC members. Certain events will be open to non-members as well.

  • Lots of fun, laughter, and friendships!

  • Monthly sailing, training, and social gatherings such as potlucks or bonfires.

  • Periodic overnight cruises and destination bareboat charters

  • Seminars in topics like Diesels, Spinnakers, Emergencies Aboard, Docking, - Racing Rules, How to Become a Certified Sailing Instructor, NoAA guided tour, and more!

  • Open to all LGBTQ+ members and allies, you don't have to "know someone"!

Plan to arrive 15 minutes early for pre-sail safety briefings and introductions to the crew.
