About
LGBTQ+ people have played an important role in the development of the city and guided it towards the beacon it became. Their stories give a sense of the full breadth of LGBTQ+ history in Amsterdam.
Highlights include:
- The remains of the city theater and a classical lesbian love triangle
- The first drag bar and one of its international stars
- The forgotten city tower and a trans man in Amsterdam's army
Please wear good walking shoes and dress for the weather. In true Dutch fashion, we try to go rain or shine and cold or heat, though we will cancel and reschedule/refund if the weather looks severe.
The tour ends on the Torensluis. If you're biking to the tour, a good place to park is near the Munttoren.

We have a minimum of 2 people per tour, so if you have trouble finding a single availability at the time you want, you have three options:
- Team up with a (new) friend to start a tour at that time!
- Book a Solo Traveler Ticket, and we’ll move you to a spot on an upcoming tour.
- Follow us on Instagram or Facebook where we post stories 2 days in advance if we have any openings in a scheduled tour.
