On Delaware’s southeastern coast near the quaint town of Lewes, Anglers Marina stands as a hub for water-based adventure and boat services. Located on Anglers Road and just a short walk from Historic Lewes, this marina serves both the fishing enthusiast and the boat owner looking for reliable facilities. What distinguishes Anglers Marina is its authentic connection to the local fishing tradition combined with practical amenities that accommodate everything from weekend anglers to cruising catamaran owners.
Anglers Marina offers an array of services including boat slips, dry storage, and a travel lift capable of accommodating larger vessels, such as cruising catamarans. This makes it a rare find in the region where local boatyards often lack the infrastructure for bigger craft. The staff—highlighted by Captain JB Walsh and his team—are praised for their professionalism and helpfulness, facilitating smooth haul-outs and maintenance. Anglers is one of few Delaware marinas that welcomes DIY boaters to work on their own vessels on site, supported by access to trusted tradespeople and quality haul-out work like bottom painting and engine overhauls.
Fishing here is deeply ingrained in the local culture. The marina supports anglers with a fish cleaning station, enhancing the day’s catch experience. While some visitors have sought shark fishing trips off the coast, it’s best to confirm schedules directly with the marina to avoid any surprises.
Beyond its utilitarian purpose, Anglers Marina is also a favorite spot for photographers drawn to the interplay of boats, water, and light in the harbor. Its proximity to Lewes means visitors can combine time on the water with exploring a historic downtown area known for its restaurants and maritime heritage.
