We offer SUP introductory lessons and guided tours of our local coastline in and around Cullen Beach on the Moray Firth.
Whether you're looking for a safe introduction to SUP, or you'd like to explore our beautiful coastline by paddle, you're welcome to join us.
We provide all the equipment you'll need, including high-quality 5mm thick winter wetsuits that keep you toasty, buoyancy aids, and gloves, boots, and hoods if needed.
For our Introduction to SUP, we'll meet at the chosen venue; a sheltered harbour or our beach base depending on the conditions. We'll get changed and familiarise ourselves with the equipment and important safety information. Then we'll hit the water where you'll build control of the board on your knees before getting to your feet. Our aim is to provide a structured lesson that builds your comfort and prepares you for independent paddling or a tour. The lesson will last about 2 hours after we're changed and good to go.
Please bring a towel, sunscreen, and water. We recommend you arrive with swimwear on (for under your wetsuit) as it makes it easier to get changed at the beach.
Wear quick-drying layers under your wetsuit to stay warm and comfortable on the water.
Bring swimwear to wear under your wetsuit for easier changing and added comfort.
Ensure you're comfortable swimming at least 50 meters before participating for safety reasons.
Apply waterproof sunscreen before your lesson, even on cloudy days to protect from UV exposure.
