Leading with Confidence in Caribou: AWN Event with Abbey Clair at Caribou Best Western

On a crisp evening in northern Maine, AWN’s “Leading with Confidence” lands at the Caribou Best Western, 19 Main St, Caribou, ME 04736. The Aroostook Women's Network brings Abbey Clair to town for a compact, practical hour of leadership insight from 5:30–6:30 PM. For women traveling across Aroostook County—whether returning from a day on nearby trails or arriving from a cross-border road trip—this is a rare opportunity to hear a focused speaker in a community-focused setting. The event takes place in the hotel’s conference space on Main Street, a reachable, low-friction venue in a town that serves as a gateway to northern Maine’s wide horizons. Caribou sits amid the county’s broad agricultural plain—potato fields, mixed spruce and fir stands, and glacially scoured lowlands—so the room will feel both civic and quietly rural. That contrast is part of the draw: sharp, evidence-based leadership coaching delivered where people who make things happen in small towns gather. Expect a practical, action-oriented talk: Abbey Clair will explore confidence strategies, decision-making under pressure, and ways to build influence in work and community roles. The compact schedule makes it possible to pair the talk with an evening walk on Main Street, a drive to nearby Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge, or an early dinner with local colleagues at the hotel’s restaurant. The event is pitched at professionals and community leaders seeking immediately applicable tools rather than theory-heavy sessions. Why come? Beyond the content, this meeting is a moment to connect with regional peers: teachers, business owners, nonprofit leaders, and outdoor guides who balance local obligations and big-picture ambitions. In a region where travel is measured in miles and weather, these in-person gatherings matter. The Caribou Best Western functions as a practical hub for those traveling to northern forests, lakes, and trails, offering simple logistics—parking, accessible entry, and a familiar downtown address. Plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early to settle in and network. Bring business cards or a notebook, and follow up the talk with a short walk to see the town’s winter-lit streets or summer porches. Whether you’re passing through on a northern Maine road trip or live in town, AWN’s event turns one hour into a connective, useful evening that can shift how you lead at work and in community projects. Attending also supports local hospitality—hotels, cafes, and guides—so you’re directly investing in the networks that keep northern Maine accessible. If your schedule allows, combine the talk with an early-morning paddle on nearby lakes, a stroll at the Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge to watch waterfowl, or an autumn drive through potato country in fall. Check the event page before you travel for any RSVP or fee details, and contact organizers if you need accessibility accommodations. Welcome.
